Inaugurated the first My Own Action at The Social Hub in Florence

It's called 'My Own Action' and the new green project is a hymn to virtuous recycling in which we invite our community to collect used sneakers to give them new life.

The first stage of the project, whose very name (“your action”) alludes to the transformative power of everyone's contribution to safeguarding the planet, started in Florence and was presented to the press on 16 March.

Indeed, the first collection point is hosted by The Social Hub, in via Spartaco Levagnini, within the 'Break out area', where Moaconcept has installed its 'Used sneaker collector', a specially created container intended for the collection of footwear used sports and which will stay in the hotel and recreational space for three months.

Anyone who wants to deliver their shoes will receive, by scanning a QR code, a free drink on the rooftop of The Social Hub and a discount voucher for the purchase of a new pair of Moaconcept sneakers.

The ambition is to expand 'My Own Action' to other cities as well, in stores, coworking spaces and public areas. The sneakers collected will be partly destined for recycling, thanks to the support of companies specialized in the recycling and transformation of specific components (including the rubber of the soles) and partly destined for reuse, through the collaboration of associations that deal with sanitizing and then redistribute the footwear to those who need it most.
